“My dad spent his last couple of months in William Cape and due to border closures, I wasn’t able to visit, it was a heart breaking time for me. The staff in his ward cared for him in an amazing way. They made sure he was comfortable and kept me informed with everything. A big shout out to Naomi, one of his clinical care nurses. She went above and beyond for me and I can not thank her enough. The trip to the Ken Duncan Gallery recently was a wonderful experience. This was in spite of the fact that we went twenty minutes later because of several traffic delays. We were nevertheless graciously received and ushered to our seats. There was magnificent photography, shown on a screen with a clear voice describing each picture. The only access to some of these locations was by helicopter and Ken has his own! At the end of that we were invited to walk through the gallery to see many more pictures. There were many reproductions in various sizes and forms for sale. That was followed by an invitation to make our way to our tables, where they served a truly delicious and generous luncheon. (The waitresses serving our meal made us feel very welcome, too). We were only sorry there weren’t more of us to enjoy such an exceptional trip!

I can always tell when I arrive at William Cape Gardens that mum is very relaxed with everyone and she always says that the staff here are wonderful and friendly.
Mum really enjoys the choice of different menus and breakfast with fresh fruit; she says it’s like a holiday resort. I would also like to thank the staff in the laundry for the care and attention given to mum’s clothes, the whites always come back white not grey. The clothes always look like they have been washed by someone that cares for the person they belonged to; I could not do a better job myself.

“Placing our mother into a home was one of the hardest decisions we have had to make. We had been caring for her at home for over 20 years. However, due to her declining mobility and mental state, we found her care requirements difficult to fulfil in a domestic environment. So it became necessary to place her in the care of a suitably equipped facility. I was personally distraught with the prospect, feeling that I was evading my responsibilities and condemning my mother to a second grade life style for the remainder of her life. Fortunately we were recommended William Cape Gardens, a facility that far exceeded our expectations and perception of a nursing home. William Cape Gardens is nothing like the nursing homes our parents had resided in during the 80’s. Wiliam Cape Gardens provided a well facilitated resort style lifestyle, staffed by responsible, caring and helpful people.”
