Wyong Quilters Donate to William Cape Gardens Residents
The Wyong Patchwork & Quilters Group visited the residents of William Cape Gardens Aged Care facility and generously donated six of their colourful creations. The residents were very impressed with the craftsmanship involved in making these beautiful quilts.
The sewing group has been meeting every Saturday for years and on the last Saturday of the month they make community quilts which are created from donated cotton material. They donate these quilts to aged care facilities for the ladies and gentlemen to put over their knees when they feel cold.
The group operates out of the Volunteer Rescue Association Shed at Wyong and donates money to the rescue people at the end of the year. If anyone would like to donate any leftover material they may have in their cupboard the group would really appreciate it. They can be contacted at the shed on Saturdays.
