Dementia Care
William Cape Gardens contains two secure dementia specific care areas.
All residents in the dementia area have single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Secure garden areas are accessible from the wing which encourage exercise and provide stimulation. Sensory gardens have been designed to provide smells and texture that stimulate the residents' senses and promote meaningful activities.
William Cape Gardens provides a unique calming and soothing environment in the Snoezelen Room dedicated to extra sensory stimulation for Dementia sufferers experiencing challenging behaviour. A quiet period spent in this dedicated space provides wonderful benefit to the resident through a peaceful setting.
